The alignment of a player determines to which team they belong and therefore also determines their primary Win Condition. The alignment of a player may differ from their parity contribution in some cases and their primary win condition may also be only one of multiple win conditions certain roles and factions have.
It is possible for players to change alignment during the game - e.g. being recruited into an evil faction.
Alignment Checks
Roles that check alignment
The following roles interact with and report a players alignment in some form or another:
- Arcanist
- Grand Vizier
- Novice Tarot Reader and Novice Parrot Reader
- Seer (and some variants of seer such as Insane Seer and Drunk Seer)
Items that check alignment
