The Vampire Master is night immune and can choose to kill or recruit at night. Unlike the Vampire, the Vampire Master can recruit up to three Familiars per game. Role Text
- You are a Vampire Master. Each night you may kill or enslave someone from the village. You may only enslave a limited number of times.
- Objectives
- Eliminate all other evil factions
- Gain control of voting by having at least 50% of living players be members of your Vampire's basement
- Notes
- You are night immune
- If you are executed by the village you will be reborn in the body of your longest serving, living familiar the next morning
- If you try to enslave a non-village member as a familiar, they will be killed instead
Ability message
During the night, you can toggle between killing your target or recruiting them. You will receive the following messages depending on which option you have chosen:
- You will enslave tonight's target as your familiar
- Tonight you will enslave <AvatarName>
In the morning, the target of the Vampire receives the following message:
- You belong to me, now
Useful Notes
- A Vampire Master cannot be purged (such as by an Alchemist) and they cannot be redirected (such as by a Succubus).
- If a Vampire Master's target is protected by a Huntsman, they will still die but the Vampire Master will survive.
- A Vampire Master cannot recruit other evil players. If they try, they will instead kill the target (the recruit chance is not consumed).
- A Vampire Master can recruit village players who are in a Village sub-faction (such as the Masons).
- A Vampire Master will win as soon as they reach parity with the surviving players, even if there are other evil players still alive.
- When a Vampire Master is revived because of their Familiar, there will be no public message for the village.
- If a Vampire Master is lynched, they will be in the graveyard for one night, thus missing the chance to perform any actions during that night.
- If the game has multiple Vampire Masters (or other Vampire roles), each one is it's own separate team (often referred to as a "basement").
- The revive of the Vampire Master into their Familiar occurs the morning following the death of the Vampire Master. In the case of a lynch this will be the next day, but if the Vampire Master is killed at night (eg by ignited Blight or when under the effect of a Potion of Vulnerability) then the conversion will happen immediately the same morning.
- When converting a player into a Familiar the Vampire Master will steal the items of their Familiar.
- If a sub-faction, such as the Masons, and the Vampire Master attempt to recruit the same player on the same night, Vampire Master's recruitment takes precedence and Masons' recruiting attempt will fail (NOTICE: This behaviour has been observed with the Vampire Countess. It functioning in this manner is assumed due to the similarities between both roles)
