The Arcanist

Each night, the Arcanist can target two players and compare their role's tarot cards. A tarot card can reflect either a player's alignment, Witchcraft status or killing status. If they are different, then the Arcanist will be shown only one of the conflicting cards, no matter how many cards conflict. If the two sets are the same, then no card is drawn.

As you'll see below, some cards can overlap, e.g the Magician card can either stand for Alignment or Witchcraft status depending on the role. Some roles even have two Magician cards for that reason, as it is the case for the entirety of the Coven. More on the Tarot Card List page

Useful Notes

  • The Arcanist is seen visiting two players in the same night.
  • Be aware that some cards can represent two different things (not at the same time). You will need to figure out what aspect of the player's role is being shown by the card.
  • You will only get the "No card drawn" result if the alignment, killer status and magician status independently match. Therefore, a card would be drawn if a Militia and a Ghoul were checked.
