The Staff of Bedazzlement can be used to Spellbind a player, which will make them gain a Sleepwalker action each Night and will cause them to appear as a Witchcraft user for the remainder of the game.

Using the item will Item-Block the holder, meaning other activatable items cannot be used on the same night as the staff.

Item Text

This staff allows you to cast 'Spellbound' on a single target, once per night
Using the staff will prevent you from using other active items
A Spellbound player will appear as a Witchcraft user and give them an extra sleepwalk action each night
The target will not be notified that they are Spellbound
Spellbound is a visible, persistent and removable aura

Usage Text

Upon activating the Staff of Bedazzlement you see the following message:

Tonight you will Spellbind <AvatarName> with your Staff of Bedazzlement. Other active items will not be usable tonight

Useful Notes

  • Other activatable items cannot be used when activating the Staff.
  • People targeted with the Staff of Bedazzlement will be marked with Spellbound, which can be Cleansed to remove it. This can either be done by a Priestess or a Potion of Cleansing
