Hvísla Rune

A Hvísla Rune is an item that allows you to talk to a player the following night. The other player will see all the messages you send at night but will not know who is sending them.

This item is a rune and so follows all standard conventions of Rune mechanics.

Item Text

A Hvísla Rune allows you to talk to a player the following night. The other player will see all the messages you send at night but will not know who is sending them.

Holding it will make you appear as a Witch Craft user to intel checks.

After use, a Rune must recharge and can be used again by you three nights later.

If you pass the Rune to a different player they will be able to use it immediately.

Usage Text

Upon activating this item you see the following message:

Tonight you will use the Hvísla Rune on <AvatarName>

If you have been targeted by a Hvísla Rune, you receive the following message the day after you would have seen any whispers:

Useful Notes

• It is also informally called "Whisper Rune".
• If activated before death the whisper can be done from and to the Graveyard.
• While active, there is an option for the Rune holder to toggle whether they are speaking to their whisper target or not.
• You are told informed if someone used the Rune on you. You receive a message the day after someone could have sent you messages. This message is sent even if no whispers are sent to you.
• If the Rune is stolen on the same night as it is activated, the user will be unable to use the Rune but the target will still be informed of receiving whispers.
