When a player is purged, they lose whatever role they currently have and replace it with the basic role available to their faction (for example Villager, Werewolf, Acolyte etc).

When a player is purged, they receive the following message:

You feel dazed and confused. Not quite like you used to... You have the feeling that something bad happened to you during the night.

In addition, they will receive a message informing them of their new role.

Night Immune roles are immune to purging.

Alchemist

The Alchemist's action causes a slightly different outcome when they choose to purge a non-Coven role. Instead, the victim's role is changed based on what faction they are and is randomly chosen from the selection available. The options are:
