When a player is Blighted, it means they have been marked by a Demon role or a demonic item. On it's own, the Blight does nothing. However, should the role or item that performed the blight choose to do their Ignite action, everyone who has been blighted is killed (including Night Immune roles but not the Elder).
A source of Blight can only ignite Blight that it has created. Therefore, a Demon Lord cannot ignite blights caused by a Gauntlet of Blight or even another Demon Lord.
