Holding this item each night gives you a 1/3 chance of being decayed, as well as a 1/10 chance of gaining a potion. This also gives a 1/2 chance of gaining a new lich spell if you are lich.
Decaying can roleblock non-undead roles, and if a lich is upgraded, it can also itemblock you.
